Angle Rolling

Clayton Industries supplies a broad range of industries with a wide variety of standard and unique services with an unusual flexibility of machine capability and professional people. If you develop the right kind of system, you have to have the right kind of people to make that system work.

reprap printer

RepRap is about making self-replicating machines, and making them freely available for the benefit of everyone.

RepRap takes the form of a free desktop 3D printer capable of printing plastic objects. Since many parts of RepRap are made from plastic and RepRap prints those parts, RepRap self-replicates by making a kit of itself - a kit that anyone can assemble given time and materials.

3d printer

3D Printers set the industry standard for final product realism. Based on 3D Printing technology, these systems give you the best surface quality and fine details together with the widest range of material properties on the market and the ability to print multi-material models.

3DR RepRap Delta Printer - Part 1 - Release - Mini Maker-Faire London

This post sees the release of my 3DR Delta printer design. I know a lot of you have been asking for it. I had planned to do another monster post on full 3DR assembly, but as documentation is taking much more time to get completed, instead of delaying the release any further I thought it best to do a series of Blog posts to show assembly, setup, calibration, and firmware config in stages.

3D printers - reprap and the limitations of opensource

I've often found the concept of 3D printers interesting, I've looked at building a reprap printer several times over the last few years.
When SeeMeCNC introduced the H1 I bought one, in the end the total cost wasn't significantly less than sourcing a Mendel, but the low intro price pulled me in. The build was poorly documented, (something since fixed) and involved a lot of pieces, but it wasn't overly difficult. Overall I have been stunned by the quality of print that can be produced, it takes a lot of messing about to get there, but the quality is better than I would have imagined.

Replicating Rapid-Prototyper

RepRap is humanity's first general-purpose self-replicating manufacturing machine.
RepRap takes the form of a free desktop 3D printer capable of printing plastic objects. Since many parts of RepRap are made from plastic and RepRap prints those parts, RepRap self-replicates by making a kit of itself - a kit that anyone can assemble given time and materials. It also means that - if you've got a RepRap - you can print lots of useful stuff, and you can print another RepRap for a friend..

RepRap Printer

The cheap reprap printer (a short for Replicating Rapid-prototyper) project is working towards creating a cheap and easy-to-use rapid prototype machine that can construct plastic products after downloading a detailed description form a computer. The software will be free under the GNU General Public License. The printer can build any 3D printer model that one can think of – from flower pots, to vehicle replacement parts . Future programs include expanding to a wide variety of materials: ceramics, wax, metals, etc.

The RepRap Simpson Revolution

Here is a thing that looks like it won’t work. When its designs were first introduced to the RepRap forum/community, some members immediately began speculating that it lacked the sturdiness to complete a print. With no frame and with heavy pulleys making it top-heavy, the Simpson 3D printer looked like it would twist and bend and throw plastic all over the place, possibly even fall over. But the RepRap community is a strong one and members do like to help in the creation of new RepRap variants; so the machine’s creator, Nicholas Seward, was not without friends.
